Thailand – Cultural Kaleidoscope

Arrive to the Northern Thai city of Chiang Mai and settle-in to your hotel accommodations in the heart of Old Chiang Mai. Over the next week, we’ll spend the mornings helping elementary school aged children with their English at a local school. Create learning tools, assist the teachers and engage with the students in a meaningful way. In the afternoons, visit the an ornate Buddhist temple, learn from a group of monks about Buddhism, get a Thai massage, and learn to cook some of Thailand’s most famous dishes. 

Over the weekend, we’ll head out into the villages surrounding Chiang Mai. Spend a day at an Akha hill tribe village learning traditional bamboo cutting and meeting village elders. Another day, head out to an elephant camp and nursery. We’ll bid the students goodbye on our final day before our return flights home.
