Costa Rica – Caribbean Wildlife Safari

The journey begins in Costa Rica’s capital, San Jose. Take a two-hour drive to the jungle town of Sarapiqui where we’ll spend the next two days exploring the rainforest and nearby La Selva Biological Station. Spot monkeys, sloths, iguanas and toucans with our naturalist guide, visit a pineapple plantation and take an optional white water rafting excursion. The next two days will be spent in Cahuita on the Caribbean coast. Come face-to-face with some of Costa Rica’s most iconic wildlife at local rescue centers and, in your free time, explore the offshore reefs and beaches.
On Days 5 & 6, we’ll continue onwards to the Northern Caribbean coast to learn about Costa Rica’s sea turtles and go on a night patrol with our guide. Return to San Jose on Day 7 with a final stop at the Toucan Rescue Ranch where we’ll prepare food and toys for rescued wildlife. Enjoy a farewell BBQ overlooking Costa Rica’s Central Valley before departing back home.
